Spent about 90mins observing runners over the last mile of The Nation's Triathlon (1500meter Potomac River swim, 25mi bike, 6.2mi run).
Worked till 10a, got to Pennsylvania Ave. at 10:30 to see the middle and back of the pack racers. Saw some folks really gutting it out, a handful particularly inspiring, esp a few military guys in wheelchair and below the knee amputees.
Great day for the race, all reports are it went well and may become an annual event. This was year 2, last year was run-bike-run due to swim permit issues.
Headed back to my desk for a little work then a run and swim.
Run 72 min, ~9.5+ mi, including a couple frisky 6:5x miles near the end.
Swim 25 min drills.
